-OBJECTIVE-

         UTRC's objective is to advance knowledge and practice in the field of underground construction and mining by identifying, developing, reporting, and stimulating industry adoption of current state-of-the-art methods and techniques, and by encouraging research.  Identifying and transferring technologies between civil and mining is a significant goal.
